{2015 Senior Models}
Woah, Ok let me tell ya we have been so busy!!!! Not complaining at all...I LOVE IT!! :) These are a few of the recent senior models I have photographed. I am curious to meet the rest of the 2015 Senior Models we have because so far this class has been super awesome. I have had so much fun on all of their sessions. I know it seems like I always say that, but gosh I just love my job and all my clients I guess. ;))

Meet Deacon, he is a super cool dude y'all! He brought his little sister on his session and we had a blast. We stopped and got snow cones, shh don't tell the other models. ;) We even played one of those car games where one person starts a sentence and you go around the car and each person adds a word. You know what I'm talking about? Well ours went a little something like this... "The dinosaur kicked his uncle in the butt they then went down the hill and had a picnic at okie smokeys until...." Ok I can't remember it all but it was way cool. You're jealous, I can sense it ;)

MADISON!!! Hey this girl is like apart of my family and she rocked her session. No joke, every outfit she changed into my employees were drooling over. Madison if you're missing any clothing items from your session, I could probably tell you exactly where they are. :)) During Madison's session we took tons and tons and TONS of portraits but I just couldn't stop she is gorgeous. This girl is awesome if you haven't been blessed with the chance of getting to know her I feel sorry for you because she is just that awesome! Cannot wait to show you all more of her images.

~Kali~
Hey girl, Heyyyy! I mean can you not already tell that she is stunning. Yeah like everything was perfect.. her outfits, her hair, her makeup, yeah everything! She is super fun too, seriously it must be this class, I just love them all! :)) I love that she is a model this year and that I have the chance of getting to know her better.

Oh, one more thing Kali is a soccer player and I'm not sure why I never got involved in that sport because.. HELLO those legs are bomb!! Just sayin' ;))

ALYSSA!! Fun little game, who can guess what is behind Alyssa...obviously it's a neat background but can you guess what it is? Once again, I had so much fun on this session. She was extra fun and brought glitter, balloons and sparklers. It was really a blast getting glitter blown all over me ;) no, not really it was extremely itchy but I'd do anything to get that perfect shot of my models. Alyssa is a super sweet girl, I'm so glad she is one of our models this year!

K-O-R-Y!
She is a future super model, watch out! Im telling ya this girl is gorgeous. After we finally got it clear that she had to look at me(the one with the camera) and not my employee(her friend) everything went great! It's like she had to "okay" my positioning with someone ;)) I don't blame her some of ways she was standing was pretty interesting but she's already seen some and loved them so you always trust your photographer. :)) Oh one last thing, she is stinkin' brave. She walked through this tall grass that had a lot of spiders everywhere just to stand exactly where I wanted her to be. What a trooper because I wouldn't have done it.

OKAY, Is this my new favorite class?! I think so ;)) Be sure to check back with us we will be catching up with all our "get to know our model" blogs soon! Can't wait to show you more images of my awesome models!!!

~DELANEY~
2015 Senior Model

Okay let me first start out by saying...WAHHH :(( my little Delaney is graduating... I've known this gorgeous young lady and her family for quite some time now and I love them all dearly. Delaney is our FIRST 2015 SENIOR MODEL!!! 2015...I know it's kinda weird me saying that when it's actually 2014 but she is apart of the 2015 graduating class ;) just incase you get easily confused like I do!

DELANEY Q&A:
What's your favorite color?
GLITTER
Who is your role model?
Rachel
What is your favorite song?
Anything Luke Bryan...ANYTHING
Where would your dream vacation be?
Fiji
Who is your favorite sports team?
Razorbacks
What is your favorite flavor snow cone?
Barbie..just try it
Cat or dog?
Woof > Meow
What is your favorite thing to do out of school?
I love to fish, any chance I get.. I go!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully out of my parents house ;)

I know my staff and I had a lot of fun on Delaney's Model Session. It was our first Model Session of the year and it felt GREAT to get back in the swing of things. Delaney was so great!! I tend to make my models do all the funky fun stuff I envision and she did everything without one complaint. I just know at least half the time she was thinking, "Okay, really?! Seriously Katherine this cannot look

good"...:)) But she trusted me and did everything I asked. Even though she did have some trouble walking in this field...for some reason she couldn't look in the opposite way of where she was walking..goofy girl! I'm kidding...sorta ;) we all got a kick out of it!

OHH MY GORGEOUS! I can't seem to get over how absolutely stunning you are, Delaney! As you can see yourself she is beautiful, so I also want to share with you how sweet this girl is. I've known her for a while, like I said. I have just watched her grow up and mature in everything she does. She isn't your typical high school drama queen...even though she does think she's a "princess" ;) Makes my heart happy seeing her grow up to be such an awesome, godly, fun, and good hearted young lady!!

Yeah, ok...I still don't know which portrait is my favorite yet. They are all great!!! I am so happy that you want to do another session I. CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Be sure to 'Like' our Facebook Page and keep an eye out for portraits from Delaney's second session!!!

Mr. Adorable...

Okay, how cute is this! Ahhh, I can't help but smile when I see this sweet baby boy all happy and eating his (apparently yummy) shoe! He was so much fun to photography. His momma even brought angel wings and halo for him to be photographed in :)) LOVED IT!!!

CONGRATS CLASS OF 2014!!

WOW! Where has time gone, this year has seemed to go by extra fast!! I'm not sure if it's that I enjoyed this class so much and had such a blast on every session or what but it feels like not to long ago I was treating my 2014 Senior Models to a yacht party. Which was AWESOME!!! :)) I just wanted to give a huge Congratulations shout out to each student in the 2014 Graduating Class! How exciting :)) Good luck to those of you going on to college, those of you who are jumping right into the working field and to those of you who have know idea what you're doing..trust me you're not the only one. Once again Congratulations to the 2014 Graduating Class of Grove High School!!! YOU DID IT!!
Memorial Day 2015

Sorry if you're a crier because this video may make you cry, I just had to share it. It's so easy to forget what Memorial Day is really about and who we should be thinking of and honoring during that day! I know personally that living by the lake and it being considered the "opening weekend" for lake season it's hard to really focus on what the day stands for. And to actually take time to honor those who have died fighting for our country!!

"Make today a Double Rainbow Day!!"

I just wanted to share this amazing video with you all. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :) This man's excitement and enthusiastic behavior is exactly how myself and my employees strive to be everyday! We love photographing you and your families just like this man loves seeing this double rainbow!! So that is why our tag for our studio is "Make today a Double Rainbow Day!" :) Also, not to brag or anything but......Double Rainbow dude may or may not have favorite our tweet about his video, replied to our tweet, and 'Liked' our Facebook page! ;) Now I know there are many definition of success but that right there people, that's Success!!!!!

What to bring to your Senior Portrait Session at Photography by Katherine...

"What do I wear? What do I bring? How should I do my hair? Do I need different shoes? Should I bring extra makeup? Can I bring my football and baseball equipment?"

Ok, everyone take a deep breath with me! :) Ahhhhhh... much better!! I know Senior Portraits or any kind of Portrait Session can seem a little stressful or nerve racking but we don't wait it to be. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed during your session with us. So I'm going to try to help a little with that before you actually get to the studio by giving you a few examples on what to wear and bring with you to your session.

Ladies: Don't freak out if you can't find the perfect outfits for your session. YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL! Your clothes aren't going to be what's gorgeous in your portraits, you are! Okay, glad we got that clear ;) Now first thing is first get your beauty rest. No one wants those stubborn bags under their eyes on their senior portrait day!
Makeup: I usually recommend doing your makeup just like you would do any other day. With that being said don't be afraid to go over your mascara a few more times or put on a little heavier eye shadow. What I mean by sticking to your everyday makeup is, don't try bright green eye shadow because you heard it will bring out your eyes if you've never actually tried it. Save the experiments for a different day :) Lip stick is always fun in portraits but if you don't feel comfortable in lip stick or it's just not your thing, try a nice clear gloss just to keep your lips from looking chapped in your portraits. Also, go ahead and bring your makeup with you for some touch ups right before and during your session.
Outfits: Bring outfits that you are most comfortable in and make you feel fierce!! ;) Skirts, shorts, pants, dresses we love it all. If you only are allowed say 3 outfit changes in your session does mean thats all you can bring. Go ahead and bring 5 outfits and we will help you narrow some out! Also, try not to bring all of the same color. Its fun to mix it up and bring out your personality through your clothes!! Oh, and don't forget that strapless bra for the dress you bring, or undershirts if you need them!
Shoes: I LOVE SHOES! Heels girls if you have them, bring them!! Us women just tend to carry ourselves differently in heels and they rock in portraits. I also love boots and flats but please, please, please bring at least one pair of heels if you have them!
Accessories: A girls best friend!!! Don't forget to bring different necklaces to go with different outfits or your favorite earrings. Only accessory I don't allow is a hair tie around your wrist. Leave those at home ;)) Accessories don't have to be only jewelry either. Anything you have that you want to accessorize your portraits with go on and bring it! If that may be your softball bat, letterman jacket, pom poms, flute, or pet dolphin BRING IT!!! :) (If you bring a pet dolphin you'd be the coolest person I ever met) Really if you do bring your pet please have someone there to take them when were finished photographing you two so we can keep on keepin' on :))

Gentlemen: I know most of you are just so thrilled your mother is making you do this. Trust me, it'll be just fine! 100% of the Senior guys that leave after their session say "It wasn't that bad"...only because they are too cool to say how much fun they really had!!! Okay down to business, if you are going to get a hair cut before your session, go a few days in advance. Unless you like your hair right after its cut because in that case go the morning of :) Also the day of your session take a shower, if you shower and shave, if you shave! ;))
Outfits: Bring more than one shirt!!!! Okay, I know you men don't like changing a lot but please don't only bring that one shirt you wear every other day. Try to not bring all the same color either, maybe bring one blue plain shirt and then a green button up, just mix it up! :) Remember who really wants these portraits...your mom, step mom, grandmother, aunt, and maybe even your dad, so don't be afraid to bring one outfit that will surprise them all. Wear those kakis you haven't wore since you bought them and bring a nice shirt to tuck in. With that being said we do want you to be comfortable also but You will HANDSOME I promise!!!
Shoes: You can bring more than one pair of tennis shoes ya know! ;) Bring some shoes that will go with those nice kakis!!! Oh yeahhh!!
Accessories: Men can accessorize too! Bring your letterman jacket, favorite hat, watch, football, baseball bats, guitar, skateboard, pet elephant, whatever you have that you want to be in your senior portraits with you, bring it! Don't forget a belt if your pants are little too big :)) Oh and if you bring your elephant bring a leash and someone to watch him when were done!!!

YAY! NOW EVERYONE'S EXCITED RIGHT?!?! GOOD BECAUSE I AM :))
If you have any other questions please feel free to call our studio 918.786.7744

Hannah Pagels

Hannah is another one of my 2014 Senior Models. She will be graduating in May as a top scholar. Hannah I am so happy I got to take your senior portraits! You are so much fun and such a great example for your fellow classmates. During Hannah's session we laughed so much, either she was being super graceful ;) or standing like on a tight rope! This girl is just so much fun and so beautiful!! Thank you Hannah for being such a great 2014 Senior Model!!!!! :))

MEET SHANNA!
Grove 2014 Senior

I've gotten the chance to get to know Shanna really well this past year and ohhh what a sweet, loving, and happy girl! She is one of those people who will always turn your frown upside down :) especially mine and I am so thankful for that! Not only is she an awesome person, she is BEAUTIFUL!!! This portrait was taken in an old abandoned home where Shanna was not afraid at all where she was stepping or laying down(way too close to broken glass for me)..what a trooper! We did a second session with Shanna and you seriously wouldn't even be able to tell how cold it was outside. She did awesome!! I wish you the best of luck with college and REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope you come back and see me.

Be sure to visit our Facebook Page to see more portraits of the gorgeous Shanna.

2014 Senior Model- Ashley

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute
you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. -Matthew 5:11

GORGEOUS. GORGEOUS. GORGEOUS. Ok, I guess I could say something other than that but I mean don't you agree? Ashley is beyond photogenic and her beauty is deeper than her skin. I loved being able to get to know her more! She's such a sweet and classy girl.

Ashley's role model is her cheerleading coach Kelsey Rhine. She loves to go eat at Hu Hot and she could shop for hours at H&M and Forever 21. Ashley is planning on attending college at Colorado State and her dream job would have to be a house wife. :) Good luck with all your years to come!!

TYLER FLYNN!!

OMG! This guy is so much fun!!!! :) I don't think I've ever laughed more at a session than his. As you can tell we had a blast...you're never too old for the playground, right?! I don't think so either :)
A LITTLE ABOUT TYLER :)
Not only is Tyler very outgoing, he is extremely photogenic. Tyler's favorite saying is "Don't stop believing" which I suppose is ideal for him because he is planning on becoming a doctor. School...School...and more SCHOOL! ;) I know he can do it though, best of luck Tyler!! When you need a break from the books stop by the studio and we'll hit up the park!!!!
2014 Senior Model
AMBER!!!

"Love the life you live, Live the life you love."

Amber is such a kind, sweet and gorgeous young girl! Her session was so cool because she kind of just took over and did her own thing, which I think is great when clients can really add their personality into their portraits! Amber is looking forward towards college and studying to be a Physical Therapist. Her role model is Howey Mandel, and she loves albino tigers!! :) We loved having you as a Senior Model.

Grove High School Senior Tea

For the last few years First National Bank has hosted an event for the senior girls of Grove High School. I just think the tea so amazing and I know it's such a fun day for the girls. Every year I get the privilege of being apart of it, which makes me super happy because I get to see all these lovely ladies and their mothers! :) First National Bank brings in an inspirational speaker each year to talk to the girls before they start their journeys after high school. Oh and they have food, lots and lots of GOOD food.. Which may or may not be my favorite part!! No but really I just love this event and look forward to it each year!! YEAHH!!

Chance Lee2014 Senior Model

What to say about Chance... Well as you can tell he is very photogenic, handsome and has a perfect smile too! What a great kid:)) We had a blast at his session although it was one of the scariest because we climbed up an old metal ladder to photograph him... on top of an old building... that was really tall... with camera equipment...and flip flops... Worth It!!

Get to know Chance--
Chance's favorite music is Alternative! He says his favorite restaurant is P.F. Changs...Which I personally would have to agree with!! BEST PLACE EVER!!! His favorite Bible Verse is awesome too, Proverbs 27:11 - Be wise my son and make my heart rejoice! Oh and get this...He said that the three things he could  not live without were air, water and food!! :)
